Nick Japaridze

Oil Paintings
Nick is from Tbilisi, Georgia and is known as a “symbolic realist artist”.

From a recent interview:

Q:  “Could you tell us some more about your paintings?”

A:  “My emotions, dreams and feelings transformed into the images and colors on the canvas are my paintings.  All of the characters - a king, child, philosopher, jester or a musician are a depiction of my differences from day to day, making my soul transparent to the canvas.  My works can be described as unearthly, tale-like and mystical creations regarded by me as symbolic.  Personally, I call my paintings “symbolic tales for the elders.”

Nick’s talent is very well known and appreciated in Tbilisi, Georgia, and throughout Russia.  His works of art are now represented in America exclusively at Galerie Zuger in Santa Fe.
